PATFIO simulation experts have successfully developed simulation models to evaluate four different scenarios for our client’s CIL plant design project in Ghana. These scenarios are as follows:
i. NAMCL PF-Phase I Part 1 (A) – 1 Ball mill, Tailings thickener scenario
ii. NAMCL PF-Phase I Part 1 (B) – 1 Ball mill, Pre CIL Thickener scenario
iii. NAMCL PF-Phase I Part I & II (A) – 2 Ball mills, Tailings Thickener scenario
iv. NAMCL PF-Phase I Part I & II (B) – 2 Ball mills, Pre-CIL Thickener scenario
The simulation results have provided a comprehensive analysis of these scenarios, offering valuable insights for the plant design. The first set of results (1 and 2) focuses on the PF-Phase I Part 1, which involves a single ball mill. These results encompass all streams within the plant, including the numbered lines and the streams related to the CIL circuit. Moreover, the results take into account the possibility of utilizing a pre-leach thickener instead of a tails thickener.
The second set of results (3 and 4) corresponds to the PF-Phase I Part I & II, which incorporates two ball mills. Similar to the first set, these results encompass all plant streams and consider both the tailings thickener and pre CIL thickener scenarios.
Lastly, the results for the MB Phase I Part I (5 and 6) focus on a different configuration, involving a SAG mill, ball mill, and cyclones. These results also consider the option of utilizing a pre-leach thickener.
Overall, these simulation results have provided our client with valuable insights into the different scenarios, enabling them to make informed decisions regarding the plant design.
